Thanksgiving and Deploying
This Thanksgiving was the first Thanksgiving in two years that I have been able to spend with my family. Don’t get me wrong, because last year I was lucky enough to have friends whom invited me to spend it with them and their family. This year, at 5:50am Leanne, Jeff, Kayla, John and I headed to Canada to meet our parents and good friends, Paula and Richard. Even though it’s not the “Real Thanksgiving” according to Canadians, they cooked us a wonderful turkey dinner. We over ate so much we were all sick. It was awesome. Then we got to spend the next few days relaxing, spending time with good friends, and getting some doggy time in. John got to experience a little taste of the dog life. I think he loves the dogs.

You can check out more pictures here at John’s gallery.
We came back on Sunday and it was back to work on Monday. That was when John was told that he would not be going to Kyrgyzstan after all. He was suppose to go for 4-5 months, from January to about May-ish. It sucked but I was sort of, kind of, maybe just a little bit, getting use to the fact that he would be gone. So was he. He was looking forward to paying off some bills and saving some dough. Well, that all came crashing down. Now, on December 31, he needs to be out of his current apartment and into a new one. The only problem is that Christmas took most of our money. So here we are broke and trying to find a cheap apartment in a not too bad neighborhood, while we have no money. Wish us luck ![]()
Seahawks and Da Bears
All week long, I have been fighting on eBay to win tickets the this Sunday’s Seahawk’s game. John is a HUGE fan of Da Bears, so I thought this would be an amazing Christmas present. So, after finally after 3 days of battling it out on eBay, I found myself with 2 tickets to the game, but up in the nose bleed section. John didn’t care at all. He had never been to an NFL game, so he was EXTREMELY excited that not only was he going but he was going to see Da Bears. I was a little stressed out because I was unsure of the tickets. They took forever to get to me and when they came in an email I wasn’t sure they were real. Saturday Morning we woke super early and headed out to the game. We walked for a while from our parking spot and entered Quest Field with no problems. It was wiggle stick day so we got a souvenir and walked about the field for a while. John was very sweet and bought me a pink Seahawks scarf, and I love it! We found our seats, section 303 row U. They were pretty far up there. We grabbed some food, and came back to our seats. We saw an add that said “Hey, text this word to this number and USAA might upgrade your seats”, so we texted and gave our them our email. Of course there were hecklers about John’s Bears stuff but we got past all that and enjoyed the game.

After the first quarter John ran to the bathroom. Then I got a phone call, from John. He was very excited as he said “We won! We won! We got upgraded tickets! Section 108, Row F!!!!” It was AWESOME! We were in awe! The game was amazing and we had an awesome time! The only thing that could have gone better, John told me, was if Da Bears would have won, but hey it didn’t bother me at all!

I might as well be WORSHIPING SATAN!
BEWARE OF ME YOU GOOD CHRISTIAN PEOPLE FOR I AM THE ULTIMATE SINNER, I MIGHT AS WELL BE THE ANTI CHRIST!
Someone today felt it necessary to send me this video. As I watched it I suddenly realized that I am going to go to hell for living the life I’m living. Before I explain you must see the video:
Now, I guess I didn’t realize that being a “Good Christian” and having a “relationship with Jesus” meant that I need to resort back to the times without women’s rights or advanced technology. I didn’t realize that the simple acts of enjoy T.V. and sports were a one way ticket to hell. I didn’t realize that it is not MY place as a WOMAN to work. That it is my duty to be a slave for my husband, raise his children by myself, and have sex with him every night to get the chance to heaven. I didn’t know that by me knowing and wanting to know the things that happen in my community, state, county and world that I was sinning. I also wasn’t aware that making something of yourself and having nice things was such a terrible thing. I didn’t know that if you were successful, happy, working, listening to the radio, reading the news, going to sports games, using the internet, watching T.V., and getting junk mail were all things brought on by the DEVIL HIMSELF and by doing these things, it automaticlly means that I have no realtionship with my God.
Sometimes I really just can’t believe what people are trying to turn religion and Faith into. It really breaks my heart.
Need a Laugh?
I’ve got a few here for you. I found these on youtube and they are so great I thought everyone should see them.Enjoy!
21st Birthday for the Ages
It’s ready. The tickets are purchased and the reservations are made. I a little under 5 months, I will be flying to wonderful Las Vegas for my 21st birthday.
We will be leaving the morning of Tuesday, April 8th ( my actual birthday) and coming back early Friday, April 11th. We will be staying at the hotel New York, New York.

My first drink will be on the plane and I am told from then on, it will not stop until we return home.

My parents are so amazing because they will be paying for the tickets and the hotel. From there on we will be on our own for money. I will be joined by my mom (Becky), dad (Joe), sister (Leanne), and new brother in law (Jeff) . I was hoping that there would be one more person that could go, however because of the dates and the schedule of college mid terms, she will be unable to join us. It does make me sad but I do not blame her for, well, trying to pass her last semester of college.
I am very very excited about this trip. I will have to start to working a second job to save up some cash but a few months at Target will totally be worth it!
The Llama Song.
Pretty much the greatest thing known to man. I LOVE the llama song.
In remembrance of Jessica Darling
O.K., so let me tell you my new favorite thing is writer’s block with my newest myspace friend, Back In Black. He posts a new challenge once a week and you respond. So, this is my first week and please be patient with me, it’s my first time.
The challenge this week is to tell him about our funeral.
My Jr. Year of high school was a year in death. I had 3 people I cared about die in about a 6 month period. Therefore, I have had plenty of time to think about what my funeral would be like.
It will be a gray day with a tad bit of rain. There will be a small graveside service first for the family and close friends. After the ceremony, everyone will make their way to a little chapel for a memorial service. There you will find pictures; lots and lots of pictures. There will be pictures of me with everyone, from my first day of life to the last. There will also be music, nothing too sappy though. The one song that will definitely played is “The River” by Garth Brooks.
The service will be open. Possibly a few words from a “spiritual adviser” of some sort, but the rest will be left to the people. They will come up and share stories. Stories of how I was a fun person, good worker, good friend, how I was sloppy, goofy and not very normal at all. My children will shed some tears however it will not be a day to mourn but a day to celebrate the life I lived.
