Remission is the state of absence of disease activity in patients with known chronic illness. It is commonly used to refer to absence of active cancer.

There it is. The word we’ve been waiting to hear for nearly 6 months now. My Father is now an official cancer survivor. This is the best thing in the world right now. Although, he will have to go see the Doc every 3 months and keep getting checked over for signs of return of the cancer.  I don’t think he minds this too much. He is now ready to get back to his life. He’s going to start regaining his strength, eating more foods, going back to work, and running dogs. He has been very strong through all of this and I could not be prouder of him. YAY, my daddy is all better.
